February is the worst month. Meeting a new psychologist soon, I think it's a good thing.

WOW! I'm sorry it took me so long to look at these, Lucy, your art has really improved tremendously in just the last few few months!

your style reminds me of your stories, delicate and luminous; and they look very different to kwritten's or to mine, proof that a tremendous range can be achieved with ipiccy. (we use the same program and still I'm staring at these wondering HOW did you achieve these? the color, the clarity, everything. ) these glow like jewels.

What is the center image in icon 10 (the Buffy tri-part icon?)

I want to sang #11 but when I try to save it I get the 300pixels square version. Do you have it downsized? If not I can do it.

I'm really impressed with 12 - I don't often see action shots of Buffy like that (despite the fact that she is a warrior and action hero) but combining motion with that crop and the soft light leaks and colors is GENIUS. More please.

Ok update AND PLEASE STILL BE ALIVE, LUCY. (not that I'm panicked or anything, you know.) I snagged #11 (Buffy on the phone) but the image was 300square; LJ had to crop the edges slightly and then downsized it so I could use it as an icon.

I'm really in awe of the warm glow you achieve. I use light leaks and they look like - I plopped a light leak on the image. Your mastery of color and light here is nothing short of amazing.

i'm here i'm alive and i'm sorry i wasn't around to answer before sorry life is kind of a mess but hi and thank you!! I'm so so fond of these icons and the delicacy of them.

sorry i suck at cropping pictures to the correct size when i icon! It's mostly because i sometimes use them for other things like backgrounds and resizing over and over fucks up clarity sometimes and honestly i'm kind of lazy.

(oh, and btw the middle image in the tri-buffy is the same as #12 i just really love that shot, i love the motion.)

Oh now that you've pointed it out it's completely obvious and HELLO THERE YOU! *bear hug* I'd ask you things like "how do you achieve that delicacy then I feel shy about asking questions. (Like I just this year figured out what the embossing tool in ipiccy does. Because I'm so into making my life harder.)

And you don't "suck" at cropping - I admire your skill with collaging images (your default user pic for instance.)

I may snag 12 eventually, I have to double check my space. I've honestly never attempted a "motion shot".

I like re-using particular shots that really speak to me (and have great clarity or image qualities or whatnot); I used to think that was a flaw but I noticed that "better" fan artists now and ten years ago did the same thing, so I've stopped apologizing for it. *lol*

i'm losing it totally i am.

I would love to answer any and all questions you have about delicacy and stuff in icons but the truth is i have no idea how i do anything it's all messing around with filters and light leaks and textures until it looks pretty to me. there is no skill here it all it is all artist's eye stuff
